Baby-theater opened in the regional puppet theater.
The regional puppet theater opened a baby-theater for the youngest spectators. This is a large and significant project aimed at forming the first theatrical experience of young spectators, awakening interest in art and maintaining an emotional connection between a child and an adult through joint perception of the performance. The new format of performances is specially designed for children under 3 years old: safe and cozy space, tactile elements and gentle immersion in the magical world of theater. In the baby-theater there is no usual division into a stage and an auditorium. The audience sits on the floor on soft cushions and can move freely, as long as they do not disturb the artists and each other. A small child cannot sit in one place for a long time, so this approach helps them feel comfortable at the performance. The premiere performance of the baby-theater was the production «Kosolapoly Mishka» - a kind and touching story based on the favorite children's song. This performance will be the baby's first acquaintance with art and the atmosphere of creativity. It is aimed at developing imagination, sensory perception and first communication skills. Little spectators don't just watch the action, they become direct participants in it: they touch the scenery, play with the characters and help the cute but a little clumsy Mishutka Bear to collect mushrooms and cones. The performance lasts for 30 minutes and is an alternation of a plot understandable to children and useful games, which does not allow the audience to get overtired and lose interest. The opening of the baby theater also plays an important role in educating parents, showing how important early contact with culture is and how art can become part of a family's daily life. We hope that the new theatrical direction will be loved by Kostanay audience - both the youngest and their parents.
