Another victory for the Kostanay Puppet Theater at an international festival

        From September 21 to 26, the city of Aktobe hosted the Assalauumagaleikum-VII International Puppet Theater Festival. This spectacular event brought together the best puppeteers from around the world. Sixteen theaters from eight countries took part in the festival. The Kostanay Regional Puppet Theater won the festival's main award, the Grand Prix in the «Best Performance» category, with its production of MEN... directed by Nikolos Sabashvili. This work has already received high praise from international juries at various festivals. Earlier, in May this year, at the VII International Puppet Theater Festival «Orteke» in Almaty, the creative team of the puppet theater won in the category “Best Acting Ensemble” and was awarded a cash certificate for 1,000,000 tenge. And in early September, at the 1st International Puppet Theater Festival «NOMAD PUPPET» in Aktau, held as part of the project «Aktau - the cultural capital of the Turkic world», the theater was awarded a special prize from the akim of the Mangistau region - a certificate for 500,000 tenge. This new victory in Aktobe is further proof that the theater produces performances that can compete with the best works of renowned masters and worthily represent the puppet art of Kazakhstan on the international stage.
